Golden Horseshoe Espresso

It's like a delicious surprise box every so often.

I live in SF. There's no shortage of good coffee shops or cafes. And yet, some how, CWJ has managed to surpass every single one of them. It's so good, I've started telling every coffee snob I can find. No one has challenged me yet.

The Golden Horseshoe Espresso is well balanced perfectly for my Breville Barista. Whether straight up or as a latte, it's how I start every day. The beans are exactly as advertised: medium-roast with a smooth, nutty taste, rich from a chocolate aroma. I have to say, I don't taste the chocolate flavor, but, honestly, I'm not sure I'd want to. And it travels. My biggest fear was living so far away I wouldn't get fresh beans. Allow me to dispel you of those concerns. My shipment arrived promptly with the latest roast batch, date labeled and all.

In the same way craft beer challenged the big brands, the coffee world is changing. I'm a committed CWJ customer for life. My only gripe is they only have one espresso blend. Here's hoping they release another soon.

My wife and I have been drinking CJoe's Golden Horseshoe Espresso for about a year now - because it's great. It strikes the right balance between bold but never burned or bitter. The best way to describe it is it tastes like extremely high-quality espresso - not easy to find just anywhere, and if fact, we haven't found anything we like more anywhere else. It's such a relief to know we can make our own delicious espresso whenever we want!

A balanced coffee that maintains freshness weeks after roasting. I switched to this from la colombe a few months ago and haven't looked back. Also, they delivery right after roasting.
